Matt Murdoch's handling of this isn't particularly great as he immediately starts getting paranoid and suspicious.

Cole, Mike Murdock, Butch Pharris, Fist vs. Hand, Daredevil's struggles with God, this was some deep, dramatic, Netflix storytelling right here.

Mar 10, 2025 · Matt and Wilson just going to town on one another with all their decades of frustrations built up as the gangs of Hell's Kitchen fight. Part of what I like about Wilson's portrayal in this comic is that it makes it clear that he's an utter monster who goes after families, orders sexual assault on disobedient minion's families, and worse.

Jan 1, 2025 · Yeah, Matt is well aware that he's a lot closer to the edge than, say, Spider-Man. He has tried to kill people multiple times, including Bullseye. He's worried if he does cross that line then he'll end up being like either Elektra or Frank Castle. As established by many comics and the TV show, Matt is a bad day away from killing all of his foes.

And in Born Again, he highlights maybe my favorite aspect of Matt's character: resilience! Upon writing this, I will shortly be entering into another long, hard stint of bringing this character to life on screen.

Add to that well over a decade of book time and ages are up there. But Stark and Pym have died, been changed so ages aren't as important if they were born longer ago.

Combine this with the fact that Matt has given up Daredevil, because he believes he can no longer control the devil within, and Matt has no pillars left to prop up his identity.
