ACTIVE WEATHER ALERTS The winter weather advisory covering the entire viewing area expired at 10 p.m. Pockets of heavy snow on Sunday morning caused issues on the roads. Many areas saw 1-2" of snow with locally higher totals especially north and east.

"Temperatures will rise this afternoon and widespread freezing rain is no longer expected. However, there will still be a few cold spots where freezing rain will linger until later this afternoon, especially in the higher elevation areas," says the National Weather Service.
