A high school sophomore is in the hospital after he suffered a traumatic brain injury during Sharon High School’s annual Thanksgiving game. In a statement, Sharon Police said Rohan Shukla was transported to the hospital after an injury during a play,

The letter, from Sharon Public Schools Superintendent Peter J. Botelho and SHS Principal Kristen Keenan, said student Rohan Shukla experienced a “traumatic brain injury” during the game. Shukla, a sophomore, was injured during play and collapsed on the sidelines, the letter said.

A Sharon High School football player is hospitalized in Boston with a “traumatic” brain injury that he suffered in the town’s annual Thanksgiving game on Thursday.

Rohan Shukla sustained a “traumatic brain injury” during the game and was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and then to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, according to a Sharon Police Department Facebook post. The game ended as his trainer, coaches and emergency personnel responded to the incident.
