Parts of Sonoma County are used to dealing with flooding concerns when heavy, prolong stretches of rain are in the forecast, like those residents who live in the area of the Russian River.

Cleanup is underway as flood water from the Russia River continues to recede in Sonoma County, making the damage more visible.

Parts of Sonoma County were hit by as much as 15 inches of rain, with Occidental getting more than 20 inches. Much of the runoff will make its way down to the Russian River from its massive 1,500-square-mile drainage area.

While the weather on Saturday offered a break from recent rains, Sonoma County is still having to contend with flooded driveways, fields, and grounds soaked in water, and flooded roadways.

On Friday at 3 a.m. an updated flood warning was issued by the NWS San Francisco CA valid from Friday 9 p.m. until further notice.
