KYIV, Ukraine -- Russia launched a second major drone and missile bombardment of Ukraine in four days, officials said Tuesday, aiming again at the power grid and apparently snubbing U.S.-led peace efforts as the war approaches the four-year mark.

Ukrainian drone strikes against Russian energy infrastructure left over 200,000 without power as both sides continue targeting electrical grids.

Ukraine said the "Geran-5" bears similarities to Iran's Karrar attack drone, and uses a more powerful engine than Russia's current turbojet Shaheds.

Kremlin-installed authorities in Russia-occupied parts of southern Ukraine say Ukrainian drone strikes have damaged energy networks.
