The way he has been scrutinized, second-guessed and overlooked in discussions of his team’s success, one would think Philadelphia Eagles Coach Nick Sirianni has been tush-pushed to prominence — a lucky guy who happens to be holding the ball as owner Jeffrey Lurie clears the path up front with blank-check abandon and then gets shoved across the line by the talented roster assembled by astute general manager Howie Roseman.

However the Eagles want to spin it, this much is true: Philadelphia is a contender to repeat.
