Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has urged his NATO counterparts to issue an invitation during a meeting in Brussels next week to Kyiv to join the Western military alliance, according to the text of a letter seen by Reuters on Friday.

NATO is investigating the Chinese ship suspected of deliberately damaging the undersea cables connecting some of its members.

In a recent development it has been known that the undersea cables which were connecting Finland and Sweden to the Central Europe were cut and it is being reported that it was certain sabotage from a Chinese Ship.

The Russian and Chinese governments have both denied any involvement with the incident, though sources claim the damage is consistent with an intentional act of sabotage.
