A major lake-effect storm has buried parts of Northeast Ohio under several feet of snow. Here's the latest on the winter weather and this week's forecast.

Lake-effect snowfall – buffeted from the Great Lakes to the Upper Peninsula and western Michigan, northeastern Ohio, northwestern Pennsylvania and portions of Upstate New York – is expected to continue into Monday, when the location of the heaviest snow bands are forecast to shift slightly southward.

Since it began early Friday morning, the lake effect storm has dumped several feet of snow in some areas. The snow fell at such an unrelenting pace that street crews have been unable to keep pace. Hundreds of holiday travelers were stranded on major highways Friday like i-90 and had to abandon their cars.
