Oakland County driving lanes reopen on I-696 after months-long MDOT construction

Drivers can still expect to see MDOT's orange barrels on the shoulders of I-696 while signage and punch list work continues until the end of 2024. Crews will also return to I-696 in the spring or summer of 2025 for final tasks including pavement markings and landscape work.
