The Government of India has successfully repatriated 266 Indian nationals who were released from cybercrime centres in Southeast Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Wednesday (March 12).

Indian embassies in Myanmar and Thailand, with local authorities, coordinated the repatriation of 283 Indian nationals by an Indian Air Force aircraft from Mae Sot, Thailand. These individuals were made to participate in cybercrime and fraudulent activities at scam centers along the Myanmar-Thailand border.
