Detroit Tigers second baseman Gleyber Torres was elbowed in the head on a tag while running to second early Saturday night.

With two outs in the inning, Tigers left fielder Riley Greene bounced a grounder to Guardians second baseman Angel Martinez. Martinez flipped the ball to shortstop Brayan Rocchio—only for Rocchio to fall on Torres elbow-first as he went to the ground.

Detroit All-Star second baseman Gleyber Torres left Saturday’s game against Cleveland in the middle of the first inning after he took an elbow to the head while sliding into second base.
