Police have deactivated an Amber Alert for a missing boy. The suspect, a 26-year-old woman, is believed to have shot a man in Lakewood before allegedly kidnapping the child.

A 7-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted by a 26-year-old woman was last seen in a white Ford Focus near La Junta, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation said in an Amber Alert on Monday.

On Monday at 3:51 p.m., the CBI said a 7-year-old boy was found safe after an AMBER Alert was issued Monday afternoon in Colorado. At about 1:40 p.m. the Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a message explaining 7-year-old Uriah Saye Jr.

It was a joyous feeling for Stephanie Vaughn-Green and the rest of her family when they learned Colorado State Patrol found 7-year-old Uriah Saye Jr. safe and unharmed, hours after an Amber Alert was issued​ for the missing boy.
