President-elect Trump's tariff threats against Canada, Mexico, and China have unsettled global markets, raising questions about how these moves might impact India's trade and economic interests

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), Mexico, China, and Canada are the top three US trading partners most vulnerable to Trump’s proposed policies. The EIU ranks India eighth on the list of countries that could face trade challenges under Trump’s presidency.

For the second largest economy, China, a big source of concern is tariffs against Chinese products. During the campaign trail, Trump had stated that he would impose at least 60% tariffs on Chinese imports and 20% tariffs on imports from all other countries.
