Nayar believes that the whole team has bought into Rohit and Gambhir's philosophy, including the two spin greats.

India had benched both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja for the first Test against Australia in Perth, picking Washington Sundar over the two senior spinners along with three pacers and a seam-bowling all-rounder.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin did not feel hurt after getting snubbed from the Perth Test match, said Abhishek Nayar. Nayar said that both seniors were positive in their outlook and understood the decisions that the management had made.
