U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday said he would soon decide whether to exclude Canadian and Mexican oil imports from the 25% tariffs that he has vowed to impose on Saturday on the countries' products.

President Donald Trump affirmed on Thursday that imports from U.S. allies Mexico and Canada will be hit with a 25% tariff starting on Saturday. Speaking to the press from the Oval Office, Trump said that his administration will follow through in announcing tariffs on America’s neighboring countries for “a number of reasons”—chiefly among them being an alleged influx of migrants at the U.

Trump reiterated Thursday afternoon that he would follow through on his threat to announce broad-based, 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, saying tariffs could "rise with time."
