The annual event has been taking place on Thanksgiving week every year since 1987, making it the second-longest recurring WWE PLE behind only Wrestlemania. The 2024 edition continued the theme from the previous two years with WarGames matches at the top of the card.

WarGames, takes place Saturday night in Vancouver, Canada. It is the third year in a row that WWE is forgoing the traditional five-on-five, elimination-style Survivor Series match for the far more chaotic and destructive WarGames spectacle.
