India Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to BJP's Delhi victory in the Delhi elections. "Jana Shakti is paramount! Development wins, good governance triumphs. I bow to my dear sisters and brothers of Delhi for this resounding and historic mandate to BJP.

As the Delhi election trends show a strong lead for the BJP, party leaders have credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the victory. BJP is currently ahead on 42 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) trails with 27.

Arvind Kejriwal said AAP will play the role of a constructive opposition and will continue to serve the people of Delhi.
