At a news conference, Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced his office is prepared to go forward with the court's initiated resentencing hearing in the Menendez brothers' case and maintained his position that they "shouldn't get out of jail.

Nathan Hochman said that the brothers had not accepted responsibility for their actions in requesting the court withdraw his motion for resentencing.
