A Rady Children’s Invitational tournament official handed Painter the championship trophy out of tradition. Painter quickly handed it off to Myles Colvin. The second-year guard, wearing his championship cap in a crooked balance atop his head, raised the trophy in celebration with his teammates.

Purdue sophomore wing Myles Colvin started the game off in impressive fashion, coming up with a steal and breakaway dunk on the first defensive possession.
