Mississippi State football are set to lose a key young player in a huge hit to the program's future under Jeff Lebby

After one of the worst seasons of Mississippi State football in the last 20 years, Jeff Lebby and the Bulldogs are now focused on figuring out how to fix it. State will be tasked with retooling a roster that finished the season 2-10 and without an SEC win for the first time since 2002.

The Bulldogs went 2-10 in 2024 without achieving a win in SEC play. They'll look to the transfer portal to fill holes on the roster. The portal opens Dec. 9 and closes on Dec. 28. Last season, MSU acquired 19 transfers including quarterback Blake Shapen, running back Davon Booth, wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. and linebacker Stone Blanton.
