Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel made his first public comments reacting to Chris Grier being ousted. He also talked Champ Kelly, the trade deadline and Tua Tagovailoa.

The Dolphins’ dysfunction goes beyond ex-general manager Chris Grier, according to one fan, so the rebuild must go beyond Grier’s departure.

The four-time Pro Bowler, however, received some costly news stemming from a violation against the Bears. This came in the form of a $46,371 fine from the NFL for unnecessary roughness.

The two sides met Friday morning and mutually agreed to part ways, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter who also reported that coach Mike McDaniel will remain with the team through the end of the season. Champ Kelly will serve as the interim general manager.
