Lucy Letby’s father threatened to hold a gun to the head of the chief executive of the hospital she worked at, a public inquiry has heard.

The former chief executive of the Countess of Cheshire Hospital has described as “outrageous” a suggestion that he sought to ruin the careers of the consultants who tried to raise concerns about the neonatal nurse Lucy Letby.

Tony Chambers led the NHS trust where neonatal nurse Lucy Letby, who fatally attacked babies between June 2015 and June 2016, worked. He has apologised to the families of her victims at an inquiry into events at the hospital.
