FOXBOROUGH — Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers returned to practice Tuesday amid ongoing legal proceedings for an alleged incident of domestic violence in October. Peppers, who spoke to the media briefly before practice, said he was not going to discuss any details about the criminal case, following advice from his attorneys.

With a trial date set for Jan. 22, the safety is still facing a number of charges related to a domestic dispute, but on Tuesday, Peppers practiced for the first time since being arrested on Oct. 5. Before the session, Jerod Mayo fielded a number of questions about Peppers and how the Patriots plan to handle him moving forward.
