While the Gemini iOS app could work on the iPad, it was subpar. Google just optimized it for a better overall experience.

But in the meantime, iPad users are getting a treat: a specially adapted Gemini app. For months now, Gemini has been available on iOS devices. Google rolled it out back in November 2024, bringing the power of its AI assistant to Apple fans.
