Menzel and Chenoweth, who originated the roles of Elphaba and Glinda on Broadway, made surprise appearances in the new musical movie

Idina Menzel, the original Elphaba on Broadway’s “Wicked,” shared photos taken with the stars of the movie adaptation on Facebook.

Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth are giving fans a glimpse of their magical return to Oz. Following the blockbuster opening of Wicked: Part One, which raked in $114 million domestically,

Menzel’s only stipulation for her cameo was to “just make us look pretty,” she told Entertainment Weekly. On Instagram, she praised the cast, including Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, calling the film “spectacular” and “extremely moving.”
