Mumbai Police confirmed that a facial recognition test has positively identified Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, the arrested suspect in Saif Ali Khans stabbing case.

Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad allegedly changed his name to `Bijoy Das' after entering India. The people who helped Islam enter India from Bangladesh were yet to be traced, the police told Bandra court while seeking extension of Islam's custody on January 29.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India’s financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

The police informed that the Bangladeshi national had entered India seven months ago and used a West Bengal resident’s Aadhaar card to procure a SIM before moving to Mumbai.
