Earlier on Friday, it was announced that the NHL’s salary cap is expected to rise significantly over the next three seasons, according to projections released by the league and the NHLPA. The salary is expected to jump by $7.5 million to $95.5 million in 2025-26, with a rise to $104 million the following season and $113.5 million in 2027-28.
Pelletier, on the other hand, will rock No. 22 with the Flyers, just like he did with the Flames. No. 22 is a popular one in Flyers history, as 25 players have worn the number before Pelletier. The last player to do so was Brendan Lemieux, who wore it during the 2022-23 season.
They haven't spoken on it, but the Flyers are likely somewhat intrigued by Elias Pettersson. How might they go about getting him?
