Ryan Lomberg was back at Amerant Bank Arena on Friday afternoon, gearing up for today’s game between the Calgary Flames and Florida Panthers. One of the first thing he wanted to see in the building he called home for the previous four seasons was the 2024 Stanley Cup championship banner hanging high above center ice.
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 23 shots for his 47th career shutout, Jonah Gadjovich and Evan Rodrigues got second-period goals, and the Florida Panthers beat the Calgary Flames 3-0.
"Found a way," was Kadri's summation. "I mean that’s really what it was all about today. I don’t think it was our best game at all. I think the execution was a little bit sloppy, which could be expected. But we found a way, we dug in. Special teams, 4-on-4, a couple big goals for us."
