DeVonta Smith has worked his way up to becoming one of the Philadelphia Eagles standouts since the team drafted him in 2021. It’s clear how much the city of Philadelphia has resonated with Smith, as he decided to wear cleats that paid tribute to one of the city’s most legendary athletes: Allen Iverson.
How they met: DeVonta actually found Angela on TikTok. He had seen her previous proposal on the W Philadelphia’s terrace, which she had photographed on Christmas Eve 2023. DeVonta’s agent reached out to Angela to coordinate. This was her first time photographing a celebrity proposal.
Smith specifically has been outstanding for the Eagles since being selected No. 10 overall in the 2021 NFL draft after his 2020 Heisman Trophy campaign. During his four seasons with Philadelphia, Smith has posted 343 receptions for 4,492 yards and 28 touchdowns including the playoffs.
