Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has emerged as the “lead candidate” for the fill the Saints’ vacant head coaching position, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Former Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy was also in the running for the job, but he does not plan to coach this year and will instead focus on the 2026 hiring cycle, according to ESPN.

The Philadelphia Eagles still have unfinished business in Super Bowl LIX but once the season is over, they could struggle to keep these players considered among the NFL’s best available.

The drop-outs left Moore and Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver as the Saints' top candidates, and Moore has more coordinator experience despite being so young. He's spent six seasons as an offensive coordinator between three teams, regularly garnering head coaching interest over the years.

Moore also interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars for their head coaching position, which was previously occupied by former Eagles coach Doug Pederson, on Jan. 17. He did not secure that role, either. The Jaguars hired Liam Coen, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator, as head coach on Friday.

Taylor will work under Ben Johnson, the Bears' new head coach, and Declan Doyle, their new offensive coordinator. The Norman, Okla. native and brother of Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor won a Super Bowl in 2017 as an assistant quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles.
