If not a UFC title shot next, Petr Yan would like to avenge one of his most heartbreaking losses vs. Sean O’Malley.

Sean O’Malley hasn’t fought since he lost his title to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 in September. Petr Yan, another fighter who used to have a UFC title, has been talking about fighting Sean ever since he won his fight against Deiveson Figueiredo last month.

Not one to back down from a verbal sparring match, Sean O’Malley fired back with his own brand of humor. Instead of getting defensive, he dropped a straightforward update about his fighting plans. He revealed his intentions to rematch Merab Dvalishvili in the early part of the second quarter of 2025.

Petr Yan is plotting a rematch against Sean O'Malley. O'Malley earned a title shot with a hard-fought split decision win over Yan at UFC 280 in 2022. "Suga" went on to knock out Aljamain Sterling to win the bantamweight title at UFC 292 the next year.

Fresh off his victory last month at UFC Macau, former bantamweight champion Petr Yan wants another crack at Sean O'Malley.
