(ABC 6 News) — The House Oversight Committee has launched an investigation into fraud in Minnesota. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) announced Wednesday an investigation has been launched into “widespread fraud in Minnesota’s social programs under Governor Tim Walz’s watch.”

At the start of 2026, Minnesotans will be able to take up to 12 weeks of leave with partial pay either to recover from a serious medical condition or to care for a family member, for a combined maximum of 20 weeks.

Minnesota state government employees claim they warned former Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic National Committee about Tim Walz's alleged "incompetence" and "fraud scandals."

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) can issue subpoenas and refer potential crimes to the Department of Justice as part of the investigation.
