Snow is falling in the mountains Tuesday morning, but the worst of the Thanksgiving week storm is yet to come.

A winter storm has moved into the mountains, bringing widespread snow, with 1 to 3 feet of accumulation possible by Wednesday afternoon. Rain will transition to snow overnight for the Denver metro, Palmer Divide,

The mountains will continue to receive snow through Tuesday as extra clouds linger over the Front Range with highs in the lower 50s in the Denver weather forecast.
