Sonic the Hedgehog 3 director Jeff Fowler has highlighted how important Shadow and Maria's relationship will be in the new movie.

A newly released featurette for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 has made fans wonder whether Super Shadow will appear in the film. The featurette contained a shot that seemed to tease a possible appearance. The upcoming threequel will see Sonic and his allies,

Voiced by Keanu Reeves, Shadow will be the antagonist in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, posing the biggest threat yet to the iconic hero. However, after the movie's runtime was confirmed, there was some concern about whether or not the character would get the treatment he deserves within the movie.

Earlier this week, a featurette showing Keanu Reeves as Shadow in Sonic 3 was shared. The interview also shows new footage of the movie, including one particularly tease-y shot. A very brief scene is shown that seems to confirm Super Shadow teaming up with Super Sonic.
