Nintendo relaunches Animal Crossing on iPhone as paid game with no in-app purchases
Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete uses a business model Nintendo hasn’t tried recently, and frankly that most App Store games have moved away from. It’s available as a one-time up front purchase on the App Store. Currently, the price is $9.99, but that’s only an introductory rate that will climb to $19.99 on January 30.

PSA: Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp shuts down in just a few hours
Animal Crossing's long-running cosy smartphone spin-off will be switched off today, at 3pm UK time. That's just under two hours' away, at the time of writing. At that point, you'll no longer be able to log in or play Pocket Camp, and your account - unless linked to your Nintendo Account - will be gone for good.
