New York City FC have dismissed head coach Nick Cushing, the club confirmed on Tuesday. The decision comes after NYCFC finished sixth in the MLS Eastern Conference this season and were knocked out in the MLS Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference semifinals.

Just three days after New York City FC were eliminated from the MLS Cup playoffs, the club parted ways with Nick Cushing. Cushing led NYCFC to a sixth place finish in the Eastern Conference, ending the regular season with 50 points.

NYCFC have fired head coach Nick Cushing, the club announced on Tuesday morning. Cushing took over on an interim basis in July 2022 for former head coach Ronny Deila and was brought on board permanently at the end of that season,
