I think that is the message of Apple's latest holiday commercial, "Heartstrings," naturally, which focuses specifically on the Apple AirPods Pro 2's latest auditory capabilities.

Apple released an emotional Christmas ad the focuses on the Hearing Aid feature available on the AirPods Pro 2.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 can now perform ably – and cheaply – as over-the-counter hearing aids, but there are some flaws and compromises.

The ad flashes back to sweet family moments when the father also couldn’t hear well. Returning to the present moment, he puts in the AirPods Pro 2 and the sounds all become clear, thanks to the earbuds’ clinical-grade Hearing Aid feature, introduced a month ago.

The hearing aid feature is part of Apple's hearing health tools for the AirPods Pro 2, which include Loud Sound Reduction, the Hearing Test feature, and the software-based Hearing Aid feature

To my knowledge, Heartstrings is the first holiday spot from Apple to prominently feature disability and accessibility.

That means AirPods Pro 2 owners still need to make sure their earphones are updated to the latest firmware, and that their connected iPhone or iPad is updated to iOS 18.1. Launched at Rs 24,900, Apple Airpods 2 Pro allows users to take a clinically validated hearing test, which can then function as over-the-counter hearing aids if needed. The feature allows users to perform a hearing test directly from their iPhone, which plays tones and records responses, similar to a clinical test.
