Oscar Piastri capped off a flawless Saturday at the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, taking pole position in record time and piling fresh pressure on McLaren teammate Lando Norris in an increasingly intense F1 title fight.

Zak Brown has again insisted that as long as both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri can win the title, McLaren will not impose team orders.

Though it started with misery — he went too deep into one corner in the wet conditions during the season-opening Australian Grand Prix and slid onto the grass at the next turn, blowing his shot at a home podium — Piastri rebounded, entering a dominant era of his own.
