The tennis world is exploding with excitement after Saturday’s bombshell announcement that Andy Murray will become a coach to Novak Djokovic. Murray officially entered retirement in August – and while he made no secret of his desire to start a coaching career – he was adamant that it would not come soon as he wanted to focus on spending time with family.

Eurosport tennis expert Alex Corretja has backed Andy Murray to succeed as Novak Djokovic’s new trainer. Djokovic recently made the surprise announcement that Murray, who only retired this year, would be teaming up with him as trainer. The 37-year-old has fallen down the world rankings of late, and is currently world No. 8 in men’s tennis.

French tennis star Nicolas Mahut believes Novak Djokovic could aim “violent” outbursts towards Andy Murray when they begin working together. Djokovic has enlisted his long-time rival to be his new coach and Murray will join the Serb’s team during the off-season through into the Australian Open.
