Coming off a Veteran's Day week, the Spartans unveiled a special 'salute to service' helmet on Thursday night to commemorate the holiday and honor our veterans. The helmet features a camo stripe on a green helmet, and will be worn with a green jersey and white pants.

The Spartans are on a bye week, meaning they won't play a game until Saturday, Nov. 15. That game, a home matchup against Penn State, kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on CBS and the Big Ten Network.

The Nittany Lions are currently being led by interim head coach Terry Smith. Permanent head coach James Franklin was fired after Penn State had fallen to 3-3 after a 22-21 home loss to Northwestern. Excluding the shortened COVID season, one more loss would mean PSU's first losing season since going 4-7 back in 2004.

The penalties Michigan State agreed to in the negotiated resolution are well defined and include three years of probation, a fine of $30,000 plus 1.5 percent of the annual football budget and recruiting limitations in nearly every way.
