A 78-year-old Macomb County man said he was "so excited" to finally win a big prize from the Michigan Lottery after winning $25,000 a year for life.

The county saw nearly $112 million in lottery game sales last year, with $5.96 million spent per 10,000 residents.

“I called the [Michigan] Lottery and verified my prize, then it started to sink in that this was really happening,” the 53-year-old winner said
