The post-game scuffle at Kenan State following NC State’s 35-30 win over North Carolina resulted in both schools being fined by the ACC. Virginia and Virginia Tech also fined for their players’ actions Saturday.

The ACC has fined N.C. State, North Carolina, Virginia and Virginia Tech for scuffles during their rivalry games. The league announced the penalties Monday, although it did not disclose the amount of the fines.

Former Cleveland Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens has been named the interim head coach for the University of North Carolina Tarheels, replacing Mack Brown, the school announced Sunday.

Kitchens, who served a year as head coach of the Cleveland Browns, joined Mack Brown’s staff in February 2023.
