The tragic death of a man found in a vehicle submerged in flood water in Sonoma County over the weekend punches home the fact that it is never safe to drive into flood waters.

It has been a little over two days since the brunt of the record-breaking atmospheric river faded over the North Bay. Yet, at least 19 roads in Sonoma County remain closed due to flooding, landslides or other storm hazards.
