Britain's Emma Raducana is through to the quarter-finals of the Washington Open after beating Naomi Osaka in straight sets but Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans and Venus Williams lose.

Emma Raducanu reclaimed the British No 1 title with a powerful straight-sets win over four-time major winner Naomi Osaka at the Mubadala Citi DC Open.

Raducanu is also through to the semi-finals of the women’s doubles. The Briton and Elena Rybakina beat Giuliana Olmos and Aldila Sutjiadi 7-6, 6-4 to set up a last-four clash with second seeds Shuai Zhang and Taylor Townsend.
