No. 2 Connecticut took little time to put away Oregon State, as a devastating first-half run led to a 71-52 win Monday at Nassau, Bahamas. The Huskies scored 19 consecutive points over a seven-minute stretch of the first half during their first-round game of the Baha Mar Championship.

On a visit to Tempe to play in the Briann January Classic, Oregon State picked up a bad pair of losses, falling to Minnesota 73-35 and Arizona State 79-60.

The UConn women’s basketball team took care of business Monday evening, defeating the one win Oregon State Beavers 71-52 in their first game of the Baha Mar Women’s Championship Tournament.
