Actor Dhanush recently filed a civil lawsuit against Nayanthara and her husband, Vignesh Shivan. The case is about a three-second clip from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (NRD) being used in the actress’ Netflix documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.

Dhanush has sued Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan for using Naanum Rowdy Dhaan visuals in her Netflix documentary without permission.

Following the open letter and controversy surrounding the documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale, actor Dhanush has finally launched a civil lawsuit against the actress and her husband Vignesh Shivan.

Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, produced by Wunderbar Movies, featured Nayanthara. Dhanush claims that the documentary used the movie's footage without his prior consent.

The duo's fight is far from over as the actor's Wunderbar Films Private Limited has sued Nayanthara and her director-husband Vignesh Shivan, her Rowdy Pictures Private Limited, and two others for using visuals from his movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in a Netflix documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale.

The dispute began when Nayanthara accused Dhanush of pressuring her and blocking her from using footage from their film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her documentary.

After Dhanush's team moved the Madras HC and levied allegations of copyright infringement, Nayanthara's team responds to the legal notice.

Nayanthara’s lawyer, Rahul Dhawan, has responded to Dhanush’s civil suit alleging copyright infringement over behind-the-scenes footage from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.
