A mountain lion rescued from Yucca Valley is now back in the wild after receiving months of treatment and care.

She was released by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife on Nov. 20 in San Bernardino County with a satellite GPS collar for tracking purposes.

TUSTIN, Calif. (Gray News) - A California family’s dog chased a mountain lion up a tree and it needed to be rescued. The family thought their dog chased a cat, but when “they looked a little closer,” they realized it was a mountain lion, the Tustin Police Department said.

The San Diego Humane Society successfully rehabilitated a mountain lion found severely injured earlier this year, and released her back into the wild after six months of care at the Ramona Wildlife Center.
