Approximately 60 Indian passengers were stranded at Kuwait Airport for 13 hours due to an emergency landing of their Mumbai-Manchester flight.

The stranded passengers of Gulf Air flight departed at 04:34am (local time) on Monday from Kuwait, Indian Embassy in Kuwait said in a statement. The statement added that the embassy team was on the ground till the flight departed.

A Mumbai to Manchester Gulf Air flight, carrying about 60 Indian passengers, departed from Kuwait after being diverted due to a technical issue. The flight had been stranded since December 1, and many other passengers were able to leave the airport on visas-on-arrival.

The Indian embassy in Kuwait said on Sunday in a post on X that they immediately took up the matter with Gulf Air and also clarified the visa rule in Kuwait for Indians.
