The murder trial for Karmelo Anthony, the North Texas teen accused of fatally stabbing another student at a Frisco track meet in April, has been set for next year, according to court records.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis announced 18-year-old Karmelo Anthony had been indicted on a murder charge.

The trial date for teenager Karmelo Anthony charged with first-degree murder is set for June 1, 2026, for the stabbing death of Austin Metcalf at a track meet.
