On the final weekend of the Illinois high school football season, Althoff and East St. Louis look to secure state championships.

All-state running back Dierre Hill ran for record 438 yards and six touchdowns on 32 carries for the Crusaders (14-0), who controlled much of the game on a cold and snowy morning. He added an 80-yard touchdown reception. His rushing total is a Class 1A championship game record and his 46 points are an all-class record.
